Dr. Tracy Campbell is a board-certified dermatologist in the Chicago area who has additional, advanced training in Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgery, cutaneous oncology, and laser and cosmetic surgery. Well-regarded in the field of dermatology, Dr. Campbell is considered an expert in Mohs skin cancer surgery and complex facial reconstruction. She has further advanced training in laser and cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Campbell received her undergraduate degree from Creighton University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude (with highest honors). She continued to Creighton University School of Medicine, where she received her Medical Doctorate and was further honored by being elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her internship in Chicago at Resurrection Medical Center, followed by a dermatology residency at Rush University Medical Center where she was chosen to be Chief Resident.
Following dermatology residency, Dr. Campbell completed a year of advanced training in laser, cosmetic and Mohs micrographic surgery in a fellowship at the University of California, Davis. This included training with Dr. Suzanne Kilmer, world-renowned for her expertise and research in cutting edge-laser and cosmetic surgery techniques.
Dr. Campbell plays an active role in shaping the future of the Mohs Surgery specialty by lecturing regionally and nationally, instructing other dermatologists and plastic surgeons on the latest procedures and techniques. She has contributed articles to a variety of cosmetic dermatology, surgical dermatology, and medical dermatology journals, including Dermatologic Surgery and The Archives of Dermatology. She has also written and lectured extensively on a variety of general and dermatology topics.
